Celebration in Woodville

This weekend we headed to Woodville for the annual birthday/Father's Day/Mother's Day bash. Once again, Uncle Jay hosted it at his house so all the kids could swim. We had lots of fun playing, eating hot dogs, and playing with my cousin's toys. Here are some pictures of me in the pool and with my cousins Claire, James, and Jace.

Fun with Justin

Justin came over to play again last week. We had so much fun, we both wiped out on the couch--I let him have the big couch and I took the love seat. Here are some pics . . .

Dad's Birthday

Sorry it's been a while since we've updated you on our goin's on around here. Last weekend, we celebrated Dad's 31st birthday, as well as Father's Day. We tried out a new Tex Mex restaurant near downtown Dallas, and it's now our new favorite. After a wonderful dinner,we stopped at DQ and got peanut buster parfaits--Dad's favorite. On Saturday, I got to go play at Kiddin' Around while Mom took Dad to fulfill his birthday wish of seeing X Men III. He really enjoyed the movie and said it was definitely the best of the 3. For his birthday, we got Dad a travel bar, along with a nice bottle of scotch to put in it. Now that we're back in Texas, we're taking a lot more road trips, and Dad has been wanting a traveling mini bar ever since he saw my great grandfather, Poppoo's. We also gave Dad a bandana that stays cool for long periods of time to wear around his neck when he works in the yard (he's wearing it in the picture). And the best present of all was his new pair of flip flops--equiped with a beer opener on the bottom! Speaking of booze, I attempted to try my first ever Silver Bullet. Don't worry--it was just Mom's empty bottle! She left it on the floor next to the couch, and before she knew it, I was throwin' one back. Maybe next time she'll leave a little in there for me--but I doubt it! Enjoy the pictures.

More MO Photos

Here are some photos from the lake.

Trip to MO

This past weekend we took a trip to see Ma and Pa in MO. Despite some minor car issues, we made it to the Bluff. I had so much fun with my Grandparents Arnold. They had bought a really cool pool to put on their back porch, and I played in it every day. Grandma Pat helped me go up and down the slide and up and down the slide, then when I would get tired she'd take me on wagon rides--fun, fun, fun. On Sunday, we went to the lake. I got to play in the dirt, one of my favorite things to do! My parents are talking about going back there in the Fall for a camping trip. I hope it works out. I also got to spend some time with Uncle Gary, Aunt Stella, and Great Granny Millie. I was a little unsure about Uncle Gary's beard at first until Stella let me feel it--it felt really funny and made me smile. I loved playing with Granny's walker. It's even cooler than mine because it has all these clips on it that I enjoyed twirling around. The only downer was that her's doesn't have wheels. I told her she should get some put on--they're lots of fun and help you go really fast like Dale Earnhardt, Jr. She didn't seem to think that was a good idea . . . Enjoy the photos.

Mom's Birthday

Friday was Mom's birthday. Dad and I took her out to the Traildust Steakhouse. They had a great country band and dance floor. Mom and I danced all night. But the restaurant is known for their big slide. Mom and Dad both went down it. It was a little embarassing since they were the only adults there that tried it out. It's more than 2 stories tall, so they decided I needed to be a little older to slide down. It was lots of fun watching them. On Saturday, we took Mom shopping for her big birthday present--a new bike! Uncle Jay had given me a bike seat, but Mom didn't have a bike to put it on. She chose a Schwinn comfort bike. As you can see from the pictures, Mom and I fit on it together very nicely. We rode around all Saturday evening. Mom's very excited about her present, and I can't wait for our next bike ride. Enjoy the photos.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day started out fun with a trip to the Rec Center pool in my new Americana swim trunks on Saturday. I also ate my first ever peanut butter and jelly sandwich--yummy! But unfortunately, I came down with a stomach virus that night. It's the first time in my life I've really been sick, and it's not fun. I slept a lot on my Mommy and Daddy's lap. I'm fine now, back to my old self again. Sorry I don't have many pictures to share of the weekend, but I wasn't really feeling up to photographs.

Play Time with Justin

Mom and I hosted play group at our house on Friday. We had 8 kids total--lots of fun! We played with all my new toys, including my rock climbing set outside. Mom even let us have popsicles out on the deck! Afterwards, Justin stayed over while his mom went to the doctor. Justin is just 1 week older than me, but is always quiet at playgroup. Not this time--after all the older kids left, he really came out of his shell. We had so much fun wrestling, reading, and just being boys. I hope he can come over again soon. Here are some pictures. Hope you all have a great Memorial Day weekend. I've also included a photo of me in my famous Uncle Sam hat. It's a little small on me this year. Of course, when I wore it last year, I was only a week old!

Birthday/Baptism Pictures

More Birthday Pics

The Big One!

Well folks, it's official--I'm one year old! It was one continuous party this weekend, starting with the arrival of all the Arnolds early Friday afternoon. Ma and Pa from MO, Uncle Jas, Aunt Jen, and cousins Sarah and Hannah came, then late that night all the Kenessons--Grand Dad, Grandmother, Laura and her friend Reeve, Uncle Jay, Aunt Liz, and cousins James and Claire. Mom made Tex-Mex Friday night--Grandpa Glen's favorite, then we all convened at our house on Sat for party preparations. While I took a nap on Sat afternoon, Mom took all my cousins for a swim at the pool at my gym, the Coppell Aquatic and Rec Center. They were really impressed with the facilities and understand why I have so much fun there. My Noah's Ark cake was delivered, balloons were hung, and all my friends started arriving around 5:00. We had lots of fun playing outside on my new play gym that my parents gave me for my bday. Dad picked up barbeque for everyone to grub down on. It was pretty good, but not nearly as good as dessert. Everyone gathered around my cake, sang happy birthday, and all my friends and cousins helped me blow out the candles. I LOVED my cake. It took me a little while to really dig in, but once I got comfortable with the texture, I had blue icing all over me! After that, I opened all my presents. Wow, everyone was so generous. I got tons of good lookin clothes, and of course lots of really cool toys. I slept well on Saturday night for sure after all the hooplah. . .but the party continued on Sunday! My whole extended family came with me to my church to see me baptized. All the kids, including my cousins got to come up to the front of the sactuary for the big event. It was very special. Afterwards, everyone came back to my house for more family fun time and a quick brunch. It was quite an event. We had so much fun, it was sad to see everyone go. I doubt I will ever have another birthday celebration quite like this one. Thanks everyone for all the memories together that I will treasure always! I love you. JACK

Derby Time!

Our annual Kentucky Derby part was a huge success. The mint juleps were plentiful, and the food was delicious. We had quite a mix of guests including neighbors, moms club friends, hometown friends, college friends, and co-workers. In total, we had 23 partiers. Unfortunately, I was not a big winner. Dad and Uncle Jason had small wins, but mom's friend Leanda (shown in the black hat) was the big winner with a win bet on Barbaro! She said she just had a "feeling" about that horse. Here are some pics of the big event.
